SEEN Portraits family photography studio is based in Cheltenham, Victoria. This is located in the South-East Melbourne suburbs, approximately half-way between the Melbourne CBD and Frankston.

Our family shoots start at 9.30 am and last about 3 hours, including makeup and grooming. After the photo session, you’ll have a 40-minute break for snacks and coffee, with your photo viewing at around 2 pm or earlier. Timing might vary depending on the number of family members.

Most of our professional photographic shoots take place in our Melbourne-based studio designed for a five-star experience. Choose a studio photo shoot for modern, classic or candid portraits with clean backgrounds. Or, opt for beach family sessions for natural backgrounds and an adventurous vibe.

We specialize in high-quality finished artwork for your home and bespoke photo albums, covering everything from the shoot and styling to the design of your albums and framed images. Please do so by all means! As fellow pet owners, we believe that your furry friend has to appear in your family photos. Let us know in advance, so we can set up the studio accordingly and accommodate your furry friend.

For a coordinated look, we suggest classic styles, plain colors, or subtle patterns. During our planning session, we’ll help map out your head-to-toe look to ensure that everyone matches and the tones complement your home’s decor.

Our service includes professional hair and makeup by our talented team. They’ll work with you to achieve the look you want, while enhancing your natural features. You can choose to have your hair and makeup done on the day, or do it yourself. Our team is dedicated to making you feel natural and look your best self for your family photo shoot.

We can do light touch-ups on skin blemishes, but we won’t alter your appearance. Let us know your concerns before the photo session, and we’ll try our best to address them through posing. If needed, we can also conceal imperfections in post-production.

On average, we will present you with sixty images to choose from, each of them beautiful on their own and together telling the story of your day. Most clients choose framed prints and an album, which includes all the images in stunning layouts that capture your family’s spirit. We’re confident you’ll love them!

If you feel unwell, then please let us know as soon as possible and we can postpone your session. We allow one reschedule with no extra charge. At least 24 hours notice is required.

We hear you! Most clients tell us that they don’t like to be photographed, but by the end of their session, they’re having so much fun that they don’t want to stop. They always rave about how easy and enjoyable it was, even the husbands do! So, trust us, you’re not alone, but know that having your photos taken doesn’t have to be awkward. You are in capable hands and we know how to make the process smooth for everyone.

We do not offer newborn or baby-only sessions. Our family sessions are designed around the whole family together, and children are very welcome as part of that.
